EXPERIENCE
Darrin has been a successful business owner since he was a teenager. At 16, Darrin and his brother opened their own sno-ball stand. Over the years he managed media businesses, including KCIL 107.5 FM, KHOM 104.1 FM and the Tri-Parish Times and Gumbo Entertainment Guide newspapers. Today, Darrin serves his community and manages his real estate investment company.
Parish President Michel Claudet nominated Darrin Guidry to serve as his appointment to the Terrebonne Levee and Conservation District, where he served for eight years and helped protect thousands of homes from flooding. As a two-term Councilman, Darrin works tirelessly to solve problems and continue protecting homes with drainage improvements. In addition to being a past Board Member of the Houma-Terrebonne Chamber of Commerce, he served as the Chamber's nominee to the Terrebonne Economic Development Authority's Board of Directors for six years, protecting and creating jobs. Darrin has had leadership roles in the Terrebonne General Medical Center Foundation, Houma Rotary Club and Terrebonne Republican Party. These are just a few of the many organizations that have benefitted from Darrin's leadership and hard work.

FAMILY VALUES
Darrin Guidry is a conservative and life-long Republican. He lives in Houma with his wife of 30 years, the former Pamela Matherne of Bourg. Together they have a son, Darrin "DJ" Guidry; a daughter, Brooke DeRoche Spiers; and two granddaughters, Anna DeRoche and Adyn Falgout. They are members of Maria Immacolata Catholic Church, where Darrin is a member and former financial secretary for the Knights of Columbus.
